Chemistry Clipart - Transparency is Key

Chemistry Clipart - Transparency is KeyAs an artist who produces work in the science fiction and fantasy genres, I am often asked what science-based clip art is all about. And with good reason: real scientists don't often have time to create clipart, and some of the more popular clipart out there is downright impossible to use in an actual science experiment.Back in grade school, we all drew pictures as part of our daily practice, and a lot of them were probably just plain black and white. We used a wash of color to bring out the best parts of a picture, and we mostly forgot about the portions that weren't so pretty. At that point, those portions were no longer fun to draw.Even though chemistry clips are usually black and white (sometimes even beyond that), there are still things that happen in grade school that can be depicted in color. When science projects turn out looking like large and elaborate paintings, it's obvious that the student wasn't having a good time. It's a lot harde r to be artistic in a lab when you're drawing very complicated equations, and it's nearly impossible to make your chemistry project look like something that would be used in a real experiment. All good students in grade school knew how to draw with pencils and graphite, but they really started exploring all kinds of interesting new methods of drawing with clear and transparent paints. Some artists developed techniques for coloring pencil drawings that turned the entire art form into an abstract one. Others developed colors that made the lines look like they'd been drawn by pointed pencils, so that everything had the same appearance as if the artist were actually drawing a solid line.In science, chemistry experiments are usually a bit more real-world, but they can still be fully rendered in a cartoonish form. It's all about keeping your child entertained while getting the science right. What's important is that you take the time to teach your child the proper application of this type of art, so that they can do it on their own down the road.Your child will learn basic science lessons while using these cliparts, but what will be the most important lessons are those that they will carry into the real world. By teaching them early on the value of drawing with colored pens and not mere paintbrushes, you're effectively teaching them that they should consider these toys a real part of their daily lives. They will start to develop an interest in this aspect of life while playing with this kind of art.All things considered, grade school science projects are definitely the best way to encourage your children to think creatively about the science that they do. Your kids will be glad they took the time to be creative in class, and they'll appreciate the effort when they're doing their own science experiments in college. They'll also remember the lessons they learned in the classroom when they're older, and it can make a difference in their careers.Whether or not you're cur rently working on a grade school science projects, you can easily download some science-based clipart to use for your own projects. There are websites where you can get high quality images of scientific objects, so why not give it a try?
